Where do you work?
Film Roman Animation Studio in Burbank, California.

Can you explain a lil bit what your job is about?
I’m the Line Producer for Film Roman, the studio responsible for the animation.  My daily job on the movie was to make sure that we stayed on schedule, track all the scenes and that all the animation revisions and mistakes were fixed.

What do you do besides The Simpsons? 
I primarily produce animation for television.  The last series I worked on prior to the movie was “Mucha Lucha” for Warner Bros.  On the flip side, I shoot mini-documentaries about urban street culture. 

For how long have you been working in The Simpsons? 
I worked on the Simpsons television show for about 5 seasons back in the mid 90s.  I believe I worked on season 5 thru 9.

Besides the work you do what can be your favorite tv shows? 
The movie pretty much took up all my free time over the past year and I honestly didn’t have time to watch anything new.  A co-worker introduced me to “Lost” this year and he let me borrow the season 1 box set.  That was great.  I also downloaded a few episodes of “The Office.”

We understand you were behind the great video podcast called Urban Testing Ground,  and that you had  to stopit for a while because of the Movie,  Will you continue the podcast after the simpsons movie launch? 
That is my plan.   There is so much happening in and around LA and I missed out on a lot of cool events.  Now that the movie is over, I’m dusting off my camera and hitting the streets.  I’m also toying with the idea of shooting this next year in HD. 

What else have you done besides the simps and uutest? 
I worked on an old show called “The Critic.”  Also, produced “Queer Duck” for Showtime.  Taught the monks of the Dalai Lama’s monastery how to do video editing. And as I mentioned before, I produced “Mucha Lucha” for Warner Bros. 

What’s your favorite Simpsons episode? 
I have two favorite episodes.  The first is “Marge vs. The Monorail”.  That is a crazy episode that featured the late Phil Hartman at his absolute best.  It was written by Conan O’brien.  The other is “Homer’s Triple Bi-Pass”.  That’s the episode where Homer has multiple heart attacks.  The masterful David Silverman (who also directed the movie) added his special touch on Homer’s hilarious performance. 

What’s your favorite urban art artist? 
That’s a tough one.  There’s so many different types of Urban art, but I can name a few.  I think the work that Logan Hicks does as a stencil artist is unparalleled.  He is truly amazing.  Also,  Banksy’s work is inspiring, entertaining and thought provoking.  I’m also a fan of Buff Monster and Justin Bua.

Who’s your favorite simpsons character?
That’s impossible to answer.  Too many to choose from.   

What’s your favorite toy? 
I guess I’m partial to the Dunny.  I seem to pick them up whenever a new artist releases a design.  I also just recently purchased two sets of the Giinz Burg Doppelganger Ghosts.  Those are pretty cool.  Hey, hook me up with some Azteca Dunnies!

What kind of music do you like? 
My taste is all over the place, from the slow acoustic melodies of Jose Gonzalez to the electronic beats of  The Pinker Tones.  I appreciate all music.

Who’s your favorite band and/or dj? 
My tastes vary based on my mood so I can’t answer that one.

What are your preferred softwares or the ones you use the most in your work? 
The apps I can’t live without include Final Cut Pro, Photoshop and Filemaker Pro.

Have you ever been to Mexico? 
Just La Paz for some weekend fishing and Cancun.

Do you know something about the urban art scene in Mexico city? 
No, but I am eager to check it out.

Would you ever do Urban Testing Ground in Mexico?
Most definitely.  Have your readers send me some suggestions on topics to cover!

Nos podrías explicar un poco de lo que se trata tu trabajo?

Soy productor de Film Roman, el estudio responsable de la animación . Mi trabajo diario en la pelicula era el de hacer que no nos salieramos de las fechas que tenemos agendadas (deadlines). Checar todas las escenas y que todas las revisions de la animación se arreglaran.

Que haces aparte de Los Simpson?

Primeramente produzco animación para la televisión. La ultima serie en la que trabaje antes de la película de Los Simpsons fue en “Mucha Lucha” para Warner Bros.
Y por otro lado también hago pequeños documentales acerca de la cultura urbana.

Cuanto tiempo has trabajado en Los Simpsons?

He trabajado en Los Simpsons alrededor de 5 temporadas desde los años 90’s. exactamente creo que he trabajado ahí desde la temporada 5 hasta la 9.

Aparte de tu trabajo en televisión ahí alguna otra serie que sea tu favorita?

El trabajar en la película me quito todo el tiempo y en realidad no tuve mucho tiempo para ver Televisión entonces no se mucho de cosas nuevas, pero un trabajador de aquí me introdujo lentamente a “LOST” en este año y me presto el set de la temporada 1.
También descargue algunos episodios de “The Office”.

Como ya sabemos tu eres la persona detrás de ese gran Podcast de video llamado Urban Testing Ground y que tuviste que parar temporalmente la producción de estos documentales por estar tan ocupado en la película, crees continuar haciéndolo cuando pase el lanzamiento de la película?

Ese es mi plan, hay muchas cosas pasando en y alrededor de LA y me tuve que perder de varios eventos muy Buenos. Entonces ahora que la película esta ya terminada, desempolvare mi cámara y volver a salir a las calles, de hecho estoy jugueteando en mi cabeza con la idea de empezar a hacerlos en HD.

Que otras cosas haz hecho aparte de Los Simpsons y Urban Testing ground?

Trabaje en un show algo antiguo llamado “The Critic” También, produje “Queer Duck” para Showtime. Le enseñe a los monjes del monasterio del Dalai Lama como editar video. Y como les mencione anteriormente también produje "Mucha Lucha" de Warner Bros.

Cual es tu episodio preferido de los simpsons?

Tengo 2 episodios que son mis favoritos. El primero es "Marge Vs. El Monoriel". Ese es un episodio loco, que incluye al fallecido Phil Hartman (Voz de Lionel Hutz , y Troy McClure) en su mejor momento. Fue escrito por Conan O'Brien. El otro es "Homer Triple Bi-Pass". Ese es el episodio donde Homero tiene varios ataques al corazón. El maestruoso David Silverman (El cual dirigió la película) agrego su toque especial a a la actuación divertidísima de Homero."

Cual es tu artista urbano favorito?

Esa es una dificil, hay tantos tipos diferentes de Urban art , pero si puedo nombrar algunos, Yo creo que el trabajo que Logan Hicks hace como artista de stencil es incomparable. El es de verdad increíble. También el trabajo de Banksy es inspirador entretenido y provocador de pensamientos. También soy fan de Buff Monster y Justi Bua.

Eso es imposible de contestar. Hay demasiados para escoger solo a uno.

Cual es tu juquete favorito?

Yo creo que soy parcial al dunny. Cada vez que algún artista lanza alguno yo corro a comprarlo. También recientemente compre 2 sets de los Giinz Burg Doppelganger Ghosts, A propósito móchense con unos dunnies aztecas no?

Que tipo de Music ate gusta?

Mis gustos son muy abiertos desde las lentas acústicas melodías de Jose Gonzalez hasta los beats electrónicos de Pinker Tones. La verdad es que aprecio toda la música.

Cual es tu banda favorita y/o Dj?

Mis gustos están basados generalmente en mi estado de animo entonces no puedo contestar esa.

Cuales son los softwares que prefieres ?
no puedo vivir sin incluir: Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, y Filemaker Pro.

Alguna vez has estado en México?
Solo en La Paz algunos fines de semana pescando y en Cancun.
